Amazon Working on First Wearable Device: Alexa-Powered Smart Glasses

While Amazon's popular Alexa Echo devices are arguably the king of digital assistants, it's easy to forget the the retailer had a string of failures before that, especially the Fire Phone. There are Amazon-exlusive features as well including Screen Sharing, Second Screen, Whispersync, Amazon FreeTime, X-Ray, Asap, Blue Shade, For You, On Deck, and Family Library among others. The glasses instead integrate Amazon's Alexa smart assistant via bone-conducting headphones, according to a Financial Times report. Fire HD 10 also introduces Alexa hands-free for the first time on Fire tablets-just ask Alexa to control video playback, find music, dim the lights, set a timer, show your calendar, and more, simply by using your voice.

A new white paper focusing on the growing smart speaker trend indicates that devices like Amazon Alexa may bring commercial radio back into homes.

Amazon has updated its Fire HD 10 tablet with better specs, a Full HD screen, 10 hours of battery life, and hands-free Alexa experience. While the device supports expandable storage, you can also buy 64GB variant.
