Nadal wins sixth title of the year

Rafael Nadal of Spain reacts after a shot against Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina.

Rafael Nadal has beaten Nick Kyrgios 6-2 6-1 in the final of the China Open to earn his sixth title of the calendar year.

Insisting that Kyrgios has great hands and a fantastic serve, the 31-year-old said that the world number 20 possesses everything possible to compete in major events.

Kyrgios appeared unable to get over an incorrect line call in the first game as he indulged in one of his infamous running debates with the umpire.

The victory marks the first time since 2013 that Nadal has won at least six titles in a year and puts him ahead of Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev, who have both won five each this season.

Nadal has one of the best defence in tennis right now, but he needs to be wary of Kyrgios' big-serving ability.

Nadal believes Nick Kyrgios has everything to succeed.

It's also his 75th career crown, moving to within two titles of John McEnroe for fourth on the Open Era list.

"It's all I've been thinking about outside of tennis since then", he said, adding that he and his family were scoping out land in Melbourne and looking for organisations to partner with. "And I have few more dreams in my career".

Nadal thrashed Kyrgios 6-2, 6-1 in China Open final on Sunday.

She hit 17 winners and saved nine break points in the second set to move into the eighth and final qualifying spot for coming Singapore tournament.

"I was like, seriously, this really happened?"

"It was such an unbelievable two weeks, it went so fast, I have the feeling I started these tournaments yesterday or two days ago". The travel, the time away from loved ones, the social media trolls, the battles with the media, the early round matches on the back courts when all you want is to be back in Canberra playing Federation Internationale de Football Association with your mates.

"For sure it definitely turned the second set", Garcia said.

The duo raced into the tie break, but Garcia now had the momentum and she held her nerve to make it a Wuhan-Beijing double.

But many of his rivals are suffering injury or fatigue as the season approaches its climax, with Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, China Open defending champion Andy Murray and Japanese star Kei Nishikori all missing.
