These Xbox 360 games coming for One X launch

24 October 2017

The campaign is very attractive no doubt that indicates the true power of the new Xbox One X console.

The 13 titles aren't just targeting parity with their old releases, but will be enhanced on Xbox One, featuring 1080p resolutions, faster loading times and with faster and/or smoother frame rates. In fact, there are now only four titles that will feature this enhanced support when Xbox One X launches. Microsoft will also give all of the games nine times their original pixels compared to the games on the original Xbox console.

The only drawback is that online multiplayer will no longer work, as numerous game servers have been closed down. Starting October 24, you'll be able to use your already-existing discs (if you've held onto them this long) or download more than a dozen OG Xbox games directly to your modern-day console.

Even though it's possible to buy the digital copies of these games now, they're not going to show up in the Xbox One dashboard. While there aren't now any plans for that remake to happen, fans will soon have the next best thing, because KOTOR is coming to the Xbox One alongside 12 other original Xbox titles.

On the plus side, system link multiplayer is available across different Xbox systems.

Some original Xbox titles have now surfaced in the store's "games on demand" section. And to help celebrate the launch of Original Xbox games into the Xbox One Backward Compatibility library, Xbox Game Pass members get access to Xbox Original Ninja Gaiden Black for free as a part of their membership to the game subscription service. Well, guess what - it starts tomorrow! Today, the company has revealed a list of the first 13 backwards compatible titles.
