The Millennium Falcon Is Hidden Near a Golf Course in Rural England

This particular model for the Falcon, most likely used in filming for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, is actually sitting on the grounds at Longcross Film Studios at Surrey, just a few miles south and west from the nearest docking station - London's Heathrow Airport.

It has spent decades travelling to galaxies far, far away, but the Millennium Falcon has been spotted somewhere a little more down to earth - next to the M3 in Surrey.

"My big Star Wars fan colleague walks his dog in this area and he nearly pissed himself when he found out that we were walking next to the Millennium Falcon every day".

A keen-eyed fan spotted Han Solo's famous spacecraft on Google Earth right beside Barrow Hills Golf Club, which the Resistance would no doubt be shocked to discover.

The iconic ship has been boxed in by seven shipping containers, which, from the road, hide the prop from the roads and surrounding woodland.

The Falcon has appeared in the trailer for the eighth instalment in the Star Wars saga, with Luke Skywalker seen going back aboard for the first time since Return of the Jedi.

Rian Johnson both wrote and directed the movie.

"The Last Jedi" will be released on December 15 in the U.S.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will star Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher alongside Benicio Del Toro, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Laura Dern and Andy Serkis.
