FBI Arrests Man For Alleged Pier 39 Christmas Day Terror Plot

23 December 2017

The FBI said Thursday it had arrested a man for allegedly planning a Christmas Day terror attack in San Francisco.

Everitt Aaron Jameson, 26, was arrested Wednesday at him home in Modesto, California.

According to court documents, the Federal Bureau of Investigation says Everitt Aaron Jameson "knowingly (provided) material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization". Jameson said he also wanted to use explosives and that Christmas Day would be the ideal day.

The FBI contends that when Jameson met with undercover agents December 16, it was under the guise that he was making contact with high-level ISIS leadership.

The terror plot seemed to unravel earlier this week.

When the undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation operatives asked what he needed for the attack, Jameson outlined an ambitious plan involving M-16 and/or AK-47 rifles, timers, remote detonators, and pipe bomb materials.

He discussed how he would execute the attack, noting that he would be happy if an attack was carried out.

That night, Jameson allegedly drafted a note swearing allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump. The FBI says he sought materials that could be made into a pipe bomb from an agent.

The FBI discovered that Jameson was discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in June 2009.

They say Mr Jameson came to their attention in September after expressing "radical jihadi beliefs" and support of so-called Islamic State through social media use.

According to the complaint, Jameson expressed support for the terror attack in New York City where a man killed eight people on October 31 when he drove onto a bike path with a rented pickup truck.

When the undercover agent replied, "We can only do Allah's will", James reportedly replied, "Inshallah (God willing) one day I can".

On Nov. 2, after the Halloween attack in NY in which eight people died when a rented truck was used to kill pedestrians on a jogging path, Jameson told the informant, "I'm glad to know we Muslims are finally hitting back".

He wrote a letter stating among other things: "You all have brought this upon yourselves". Each and every Kuffar in this Nationalistic, Godless society has a hand in this. "Both you and he are wrong, it belongs to the [Muslims]". Several firearms were found, along with fireworks. We have penetrated and infiltrated your disgusting country.

I, Abdallah adu Everitt ibn Gordon, have committed these acts upon the Kuffar, in the name of Dar al Islam, Allahu Akbar!
