Nintendo Direct reveals Dark Souls is coming to Switch

12 January 2018

Donkey Kong is coming into the game's world, and with his inclusion comes a fresh piece of story. A new mode was announced featuring Luigi called Balloon World. In this game, players control Link as he faces a powerful new enemy - the evil sorceress Central Intelligence Agency - and her army to rescue the captive Princess Zelda. New Pokémon are set to be added to Pokkén Tournament DX, including Blastoise and Aegislash. Avatar items and more will be included in the Battle Pack DLC too. Instead, the Direct appeared on January 11 with very little notice and brought with it a host of Nintendo Switch announcements.

The game, which debuted on the Nintendo DS way back in 2007, has a loyal following due to its fresh style.

"Tropical Freeze" is a side-scrolling platformer and it will be available for the Switch on May 4. With this version though, Funky Kong is being included as a playable character.
