Margraves was blocked by an attorney and tackled by sheriff's deputies before being removed from court.
After a brief recess, the judge returned to the bench and said that while she had empathy for Margraves, she could not condone what he did. "I understand Mr. Margraves' frustration, but you can't do this".
"He did not know Ms. Smith was going to make those statements", said Cunningham. But she also says it's wrong to "combat assault with assault".
"Today, I'm sad to be a Spartan", Lovellette said.

Two of his daughters had given statements to the court.
The father of three of convicted pedophile Larry Nassar's victims who charged his daughters' predator in court on Friday was later released from a holding cell and spoke with media about the incident.
It devastated him to hear their suffering, he told the judge, and to contemplate they may never be able to trust a man again. "All this is because of you".
"I ask you to, as part of the sentencing, to grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon", he said. The father followed up with a second request of one minute alone with the defendant.
Margraves then bolted towards Nassar, seated in an orange jump suit behind a nearby table.
There were gasps and tears in the courtroom.

"You can not behave like that", she said. Margraves apologized and the judge declined to find Margraves in contempt of court, but there's still a chance he could face criminal charges. He said he had not known what exactly his daughters were going to say about their abuse.
People could be heard crying in the courtroom as Margraves was restrained, and later escorted out in handcuffs.
"Now I have to deal with the fact that I failed to protect my daughters", he added. "I'm here to help them heal".
"For about a half hour, Larry had his fingers inside me", she said.
"It's not that that's how we should respond". At Nassar's first sentencing hearing last month, his oldest daughter Morgan said her father "went out driving to look for him around East Lansing" after news of his abuse broke.
"This is letting him have power over us", Povilaitis said to others in the courtroom.
