Meghan Markle smiles awkwardly through awards speech blunder

03 February 2018

Prince Harry and fiance Meghan Markle leave the "Endeavour Fund Awards" Ceremony at Goldsmiths Hall on February 1, 2018 in London, England.

While much of the speculation of this outing revolved around a pending engagement, there were four Brits who looked upon the couples' appearance in a much different light.

However, as Chopra also noted, just because Markle is an independent woman doesn't mean she won't be supremely successful in her role as a royal. "I have to say, she's been so charming and so dignified in the right sort of way, in a natural kind of way".

Markle was handling presenting duties for the Celebrating Excellence Award and marked her first royal speech as she introduced the victor: Daniel Claricoates.

On Feb. 1, Markle took the stage to present an award at the Endeavor Fund Awards, an event that honors wounded, sick and injured service members who have taken part in remarkable sporting and event challenges over the previous year.

The Suits actress arrived in the pouring rain with Prince Harry, but things didn't go quite as smoothly inside the venue!

The former Suits star, 36, attended the ceremony looking menswear chic in a tailored Alexander McQueen suit and stiletto heels. It would be a first in any royal wedding, according to reports.

Markle's outfit reminded a lot of people of her character, Rachel Zane, on "Suits". Unfortunately, Queen Elizabeth is not a hundred percent on board as Meghan is not yet married to Harry.

She looked stunning in a black Alexander McQueen pantsuit.

"I'm truly privileged to be here", Markle said in a short speech before handing out the prize.

They make a lovely pair, don't they?
