Lenovo S5 smartphone will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

Well a new post on the social network Weibo from Chang Cheng suggests that Lenovo S5 will be much more interesting smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. This is because Xiaomi has always been known to provide better, affordable products and this could mark the beginning of Xiaomi's launch-spree in the TV market as well.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in December in China. It comes in three storage variants: 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It has been announced in in two variants - 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage priced at Rs 5,999 and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage priced at Rs 6,999. The official presentation will take place no earlier than March 14. It is still not clear if the Redmi 5 will be released in India in all 4 colors, Black, Gold, Light Blue and Rose Gold that it is sold in China in.

Xiaomi has been working on an AI-powered camera for their midrange smartphones and now with the Redmi Note 5; it seems to have consummated the tech with more excellent quality that we were expecting. The brand has been teasing for the upcoming smartphone and now it is confirmed that the latest device will be exclusively available on Amazon.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch display with a 1440 x 720 pixels resolution. It will also be available in 16GB/32GB storage variants. The Redmi 5 comes with a full screen display having an aspect ratio of 18:9. The internal storage of the phone is expandable via microSD card. The phone runs on Android Nougat Operating system out of the box with company-owned MIUI 9. The e-commerce giant has put up a casual survey hinting towards what can be expected from the new Xiaomi smartphone. It will also come equipped with a 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. The leaked teaser of the Lenovo S5 smartphone features dual camera setup at the back panel.
