Disney announces new Avengers, Marvel theme parks. Here's when they open

21 March 2018

Iron Man and the rest of the Avengers will partner with guests for a "hyper-kinetic adventure" that will also open in 2020.

The California Adventure attraction will become a "completely immersive Super Hero universe", anchored by "Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!" in the space now occupied by the kiddie attraction "A Bug's Land". The three parks that will be gaining new attractions are Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland. The Disney Parks Blog touts this development as "a completely immersive Super Hero universe", which will be built around the existing popular ride Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! at the California Adventure park. These lands are being created in a partnership between Disney, Marvel Themed Entertainment, and Marvel Studios even though they are all under the same company banner.

Spider-Man and the Avengers will be making a splash at Disneyland and other Disney parks around the world in coming years, and Disney gave fans some hints Tuesday of the attractions to come.

The attraction will take the space now occupied by the kiddie attraction "A Bug's Land", according to Variety. Today, they announced that they will soon have new experiences at Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Fanboys and fangirls will get to revel in three new areas at three different parks.

The blog says the super hero-themed land will "begin recruiting guests" at Disneyland in 2020 and will feature The Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man and the Avengers.
