Red Sox-Yankees Will Play Two Games In London In 2019

"Major League Baseball is excited to be bringing one of the most storied rivalries in sports to the passionate fans of London", said MLB commissioner Robert Manfred.

When the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox visit London for a two-game series next June, the travel may be a hassle, and beans and toast for breakfast may prove to be an acquired taste. The series will be MLB's first-ever regular-season games in Europe.

Baseball commissioner Robert Manfred described the plan as "our most significant endeavor in Europe", while Tony Clark, executive director of players' association the MLBPA, said fans should expect intense competition. But two of the best hitting teams in baseball may find at least one thing to their liking: the dimensions of London Stadium. Both will be home games for the Sox.

Khan said: "London is the sporting capital of the world. I can't wait to hear someone shout "play ball" at London Stadium".
