Fortnite Buffs Thanos' damage, The Avengers: Infinity Mode balance

14 May 2018

Popular YouTuber BasicallyIDoWrk put together a classic Avengers Infinity War trailer utilizing the Fortnite: Battle Royale universe and Replay System for an awesome video. Internationally, it added a further $281 million this weekend - thanks in no small part to a $200 million debut in China.

It also became the 21st film ever to hit the milestone in the country and the fifth non-Korean film to do so, following "Avatar" (2009), "Interstellar" (2014), "Frozen" (2014) and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015).

Avengers: Infinity War is officially the king of all superhero movies at the box office.

As always, if you're the only person in the world that's yet to see Infinity War, consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.

Infinity was is now the fifth biggest movie of all time behind Jurassic World ($1.671 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 billion), Titanic ($2.187 billion), and Avatar ($2.788 billion) and appears to be a safe bet to become only the fourth movie ever to crack the $2 billion mark.

The film narrowly managed to beat out Breaking In, which performed just below expectations with $16.5 million.

Two mom-led opening releases got a Mother's Day boost.

In the event of making a statement about Soul Stone and the Gamora following the effects of Infinity War, the filmmakers of the Marvel Studios set have explained what they expected. That makes it the second-fastest title ever to cross the $500 million mark domestically.

Four of the top ten films on the all time global list belong to Marvel Studios. Especially with huge releases like Solo and Deadpool 2 on the way.

We've already discussed the impact that Captain Marvel could have in the MCU - we're also hoping for an appearance from Adam Warlock- and Disney have recently said that they're pushing ahead with plans to introduce new characters and franchises into the MCU.
