The bridge starts in the Taman Peninsula, passes over Tuzla Island, crosses the Kerch Strait and reaches the Crimean coast. Russian Federation expects it will carry millions of cars and rail travellers and millions of tonnes of cargo each year. "The bridge is one of the examples of the peaceful construction of Russia", Dzhabarov said.
The construction and installation of the bridge kicked off in February 2016.
The railway bridge is not yet finished and has a deadline of the end of 2019.
