But the Forest Preserves of Cook County announced on Twitter that Connor decided instead to leave the preserves' police force, which he had served since 2006.

'Officer, I feel highly uncomfortable, can you please grab him, please?' she asks the cop again.
"After a review of the case, we approved felony hate crimes charges", said Robert Foley, spokesman for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, as reported by the Tribune. This week, video hit the internet that showed Trybus aggressively pestering a woman at park pavilion outside Chicago, sparking immediate outrage.

It's not clear when the investigation into the officer's response will be completed.

'People have just as much right to be here as you do, ' she can be heard telling him in the clip.
"(Conner's) personnel file will reflect that this officer did not resign in good standing, with a note indicating that he left the district with discipline pending", the park agency's general superintendent, Arnold Randall, said.
"All people are welcome in the Forest Preserves of Cook County and no one should feel unsafe while visiting our preserves", the district said on its official account.
Footage of the incident, captured on Facebook Live last month, has gone viral, and it even drew the attention of Puerto Rico's governor.
