Man Who Berated Woman In Puerto Rico Shirt Charged With Hate Crime

In the video, posted to Facebook by Irizarry, he can be seen repeatedly coming towards her while shouting at her as she asks him to stop.

'Officer, I feel highly uncomfortable, can you please grab him, please?' she asks the cop again.

"After a review of the case, we approved felony hate crimes charges", said Robert Foley, spokesman for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, as reported by the Tribune. This week, video hit the internet that showed Trybus aggressively pestering a woman at park pavilion outside Chicago, sparking immediate outrage.

The video shows Trybus continuing to confront Irizarry and her friends for about 10 minutes before additional police officers arrive and eventually arrest him.

It's not clear when the investigation into the officer's response will be completed.

By now most of us have seen the video of that incident.

'People have just as much right to be here as you do, ' she can be heard telling him in the clip.

"(Conner's) personnel file will reflect that this officer did not resign in good standing, with a note indicating that he left the district with discipline pending", the park agency's general superintendent, Arnold Randall, said.

"All people are welcome in the Forest Preserves of Cook County and no one should feel unsafe while visiting our preserves", the district said on its official account.

Footage of the incident, captured on Facebook Live last month, has gone viral, and it even drew the attention of Puerto Rico's governor. Spencer, speaking about America, told the Los Angeles Times in 2016: "We live in a multi-cultural country where now, European Americans are being dispossessed".
