Former SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN Writer Returns for SUPERIOR OCTOPUS

21 July 2018

At the San Diego Comic-Con this week, Sony announced this new limited edition PS4 Pro bundle featuring its other big exclusive this year. According to a report we recently put out, Marvel's Spider-Man - developed by Insomniac Games, the studio responsible for games like 2014's Sunset Overdrive and 2016's rebooted Ratchet & Clank - will have an "original story" that's not based on the comics. It looks like a half-step between a more modern suit and something you'd see in the 2099 universe, but also just slightly too similar to the already glowing Iron Spider.

We're just a little over a month away from being able to swing around NY as the incredible, spectacular, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man on PS4, and Marvel isn't going to let us forget that any time soon. He hires Silver Sable and her security force, Silver Sable International, to restore order to the city - which includes stopping someone he believes is contributing to the mayhem: Spider-Man. Most of the things that really piqued my interested in this trailer dealt with Norman Osborn and his now clearer intentions, as well as Miles Morales and the role I think he's going to end up playing in Marvel's Spider-Man. This was the latest costume reveal along with the classic Spider-Man costume that was teased earlier.

Just as Miles remarks, "This could not get any weirder", Spider-Ham - yes, a pig in a Spider-Man costume - comes up to the trio to introduce himself. The paint job is a beautifully vibrant red that matches the new Spider-Man suit. This bundle will retail for $399.99 and will release the same day as the game. Keep in mind, you won't receive the console until September 7, 2018 - its official launch date.
